Video games are a great way to get your students excited about science!  There are many abstract concepts such as velocity and acceleration that students have difficulty with that can easily be taught through the interactive nature of video games.
This website features sample lessons and activities that you can use with your students today!

Video games are relevant to students so they are instantly excited about learning with them.  Developing lessons takes time, however. You can't just power up the system and start teaching with it.  Choose your goals carefully and make the video game part of the lesson and not the reverse.

Many of the activities featured on this website were featured in "Education 2.0" on the NHK Network and the NJEA Review.  "Project Surf" won a Vernier Technology Award in 2007 for Innovative Use of Technology.
